I Created a Whole Video Game About a Social Media Buddy as A Joke

It worked. It was very funny.

When game industry and internet person Seb Downie-Blackwell recently posted a set of green screen photos around social media and challenged the internet to “do your worst,” we can all imagine the type of suggestive and humorous photoshopping he expected to get in return.

Make no mistake, I took part in that, too, but it didn’t feel like enough.

I connected with Seb back in the Twitter days because we had some mutuals and, more than that, I enjoyed his jokes. That’s all I knew about him. As it turns out, he’s been involved in the game industry for nearly as long as I’ve been playing games, and he’s even supported development on a load of titles I’ve played and enjoyed. Who knew? I didn’t until I sat down to write this. And what’s he doing in front of a green screen? Something important…
